The following table summarizes the losses of the 449th Bomb Group for
the period January 1945 through April 1945.
The aircraft losses are presented in chronological order. The information
presented consists of the aircraft serial number, the squadron number,
the pilot at time of loss, the date lost, the target for the day, the aircraft
name, and the aircraft tail number. The remarks column provides a brief
description of the circumstances of loss, the fate of the crew in terms
of KIA (killed in action) and POW (prisoner of war), Evaded, or other.
The Missing Air Crew Report (MACR) number is also provided where available.
