The GAB Newspaper

A weekly base newspaper entitled the "GAB" -- Grottaglie Air Base -- was published during the latter months that the 449th Bomb Group operated from Grottaglie. The first issue of the GAB probably appeared in late February 1945. The last issue was probably the one dated 5 May 1945. Very few copies of the GAB have survived. The links below will take you to two issues found in the files of the 449th Bomb Group Association. These two issues are in pdf format.
