Soldiers Listed on Appomattox Paroles

condition of the surrender at Appomattox was the stipulation that the Confederates
would provide a list of the surrendered soldiers. These soldiers were given
paroles. The following names are extracted from the list contained in "The
Appomattox Paroles, April 9-15, 1865."1
